Our office can provide professional development programs for your teaching staff and are open to partnering with you on training needs you may have. Our office is an approved NYS Education Department CTLE provider. Fees may apply for services.

Educators are always welcome to attend college lectures and seminars that are open to the public. New York State residents are also welcome to use the services provided by Moon Library.

We currently provide teacher professional development with STANYS, ESFHS partner schools, OCM BOCES, and other school districts as requested.

Example programs have included: Forest Fire Ecology, Use of AI in the High School classroom, and Using Environmental Health as Storylines in K-12 classrooms.

Teachers who are selected to be part of the New York State Master Teacher Program have access to special professional development opportunities through ESF. This professional network of more than 1,400 public school K-12 STEM teachers throughout the state share a passion for inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders.

Master Teachers gain access to exceptional environmental science professional development workshops, such as learning about creating their own solar cells, the history and chemistry of meromictic lakes, the importance of natural history collections, and the science of soil.

ESF also partners with Master Teachers to host the annual CNY Youth Climate Summit.
